There is a little bug (chigoe flea) here called a pique or in Guarani tũ. The pique can usually be found around animals and likes to dig in the bottom of your foot to eat your blood. At first, a little black dot appears that is slightly raised and it will itch a little. They are easy to take out. It just takes a needle and some squeezing. Thomas has already had two. Well, I (Justin) had one recently. The problem was I didn't notice it. It was under my little toe. I saw it about two weeks ago and thought that's a pique, but it wasn't raised and didn't itch. I convinced my self that it wasn't. Two days ago I went running and the spot was a little sore. I thought it was a blister. I showed it to our local pique expert and she said, "That's a 100% pique...and a big one."
So she begins to go to work. She opens it up with the needle and then squeezes the body out. That thing exploded. It had been feeding on me for about two weeks.
Then comes the digging the head out with a needle. It was deep and hanging on for it's life. I think I heard it scream, "I'll never let go!!!" This is Thomas comforting me.
It's out!!! With just a flesh wound.
