Last year, we missed the 4th of July. Well, the day passed, of course, but without us realizing. When you're bundled up under layers of jackets and blankets, its hard to think about celebrating with pools, BBQ, and watermelon.
This year, however, we pulled out the US flag and had ourselves a holiday!
My (Allison's) mom was visiting. She helped with the preparation.
Thomas wanted to help his daddy grill, but it was way too cold---and, he wasn't too happy about it.
Lilian posed by "her" flag 'cause she was born in "Newowens" (aka-New Orleans).
We had steak, baked potato, and homemade baked beans.
Yummy!!
